I should’ve listened to Kathy.  Before the show, I sent my guest Kathy Gruver, PhD a list of the questions that I had for our show.  Kathy politely made it known that there’s no way we can fit all of these questions into an hour show.  How right she was!

Kathy is an award-winning author and the host of the national TV show based on her first book, The Alternative Medicine Cabinet.  She has earned her PhD in Natural Health and has authored five books in all with two books strictly on stress.  She has also been featured as an expert in numerous publications including Glamour, Fitness, Time, More, Women, Wall Street Journal, CNN, WebMD, Prevention, Huffington Post, Yahoo.com, Ladies Home Journal, First, Women, Massage and Bodywork magazine, and Massage Magazine.

On today’s show we talk about her latest book, Journey of Healing: One woman’s path to healing self and others.  This was a great read and I enjoyed it very much.  If you are interested in learning how to incorporate a wide range of healing modalities into your wellness journey, this book is a must read.  Kathy also shares her unique perspective on a wide range of issues from mindset and meditation, to how to make your doctor really work for you.

Listen to the show as we discuss how she got into massage and how massage propelled her onto her path of wellness.  Kathy then shares her experience with Reiki and how she almost lost her energy after a negative experience that she brought on herself.  We then discuss how important nutrition is to her and for anyone who wishes to achieve optimal results in life.  We also touch on the controversies of homeopathic remedies and some of the negative connotations that come with this highly successful approach.
