Lisa Lewtan

I began podcasting not really knowing what to expect.  I remember just being a fan of Sean Croxton and the Underground Wellness podcast.  When I saw what he did, I knew that podcasting was what I wanted to do.  I couldn’t think of a better job than to read books by amazing authors and then interview them about their content, all while making a great living!! I can attest, that being the host of a radio show has many benefits when it comes to being recognized as an authority in the health coaching arena.  But it also comes with some unexpected benefits.

Lisa Lewtan joins the show to discuss how the platform of radio and podcasting opened up various opportunities for her and her health coaching practice and some unexpected benefits she never saw coming!

Lisa is quickly becoming one of my heroes and one of my favorite people, period.  Like Sean Croxton, Lisa is doing EXACTLY what I want to do in the podcast space.  She had an awesome radio show on Voice America where she interviewed some of the titans in the health and wellness industry.  We’re talking about heavyweights like Sean Croxton, Gary Taubes, Andrea Beaman, JJ Virgin, Mel Robbins, and Tom O’Bryan!  Now, she’s teaming up with Andrea Beaman and Michelle Pfennigaus on a new show called Healthy View Radio that is expected to dominate the airwaves.  Think The View, but about health and wellness.

She is also the author of Busy, Stressed,… and Food Obsessed, a book inspired by her own story of health restored.  Using the skills she developed as a successful technology entrepreneur, she self-hacked her own mind and body to restore her health after collapsing from the relentless stress. She then went on to feel better than ever and help other highly successful hungry go-getters to slow down, chill-out, develop a better relationship with food and stress, all while looking good, and feeling great.

Listen in as we discuss:

  • How the radio show lived up to her expectations.
  • How it translated in the bottom line of her business.
  • What she has gained from the experience.
  • Why she scrapped her own show and what was the advantage of adding 2 new co-hosts.
  • How she’s been able to forge connections with these titans of the wellness community, and
  • What would she have changed that would of made the show more successful.
