Who wants to be average anyway? That is a question that, if we asked a group of people, we would expect no one to raise their hand. Yet how many of us are actually living an “average” life. Now here is where it gets a little tricky. The word “average” really is relative. My average isn’t the same as yours. Your expectations are not the same as mine. Everyone’s picture of life is quite different.
Sarah Rusca and Samantha Messersmith are the founders of Never Be Average and the authors of “So What Now: 8 Tools to Help You Start Living Your Best Life Now”! Sara and Samantha stop by the show to discuss this idea and many other concepts that can help us on our path to living our dream life now! Their mission is to inspire women to step outside of their comfort zone to start truly living.
They join the show to share personal stories and advice based on their many experiences including marriage, divorce, unhealthy friendships, being held at gun point, getting kicked out of college, infidelity, and betrayal. Listen in as they share:
-What the triple A effect is.
-What’s up with Samantha’s resentment towards the word yes.
-Sarah’s point of view on the concept of “neutral friends”.
-How they handle social media and how they resist the temptation to keep up with the Joneses.
-The difference between happy and comfortable and how to get out of your own way.
-The meaning behind excellent quotes like: “a relationship is a privilege, not a right”, “excuses are the lies you convince yourself are the truth”, and “If you spend your life waiting for tomorrow, you are only going to have a bunch of empty yesterdays.”
