The Gupta Program: How Re-Training the Brain Can Help Against NICS

The Difference Between Brain Retraining & Cognitive Behavioral Approaches

Notable Quotes

“Modern medicine is very good at treating things which are related to the physiological body, the things we can measure, so muscles, cells, but actually, we got this whole nervous system—which is like the electrical system of your car—that wires everything together and sends instructions, with the brain being the head of the nervous system. And that electrical system is what I believe malfunctions in so many of these different diseases.“
Ashok Gupta

“What brain re-training is it’s saying, let’s create new neural pathways in the brain through the power of neuroplastic approaches, which can be repetition, as an example.”
Ashok Gupta

Episode Summary

Neuroimmune conditioned syndrome (NICS) encompasses many neuroimmune disorders characterized by an abnormal immune response that targets the nervous system, causing inflammation and damage, which include Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Fibromyalgia, as well as multiple chemical sensitivities. Years ago, people diagnosed with these disorders were told that they would have to live the rest of their lives with them. Luckily, that is no longer the case.

In this episode of This Podcast Burns Fat, we’re talking to Ashok Gupta, the founder of the Gupta Brain Retraining Program to shed some light on what NICS is, the many symptoms it can manifest as, and its impact on both our weight and our overall health. He also shares how his program works, as well as success stories from their patients.
